The good news is that all Smuuti Skin products are meant to be mixed and matched together! So, let's go through the routine step by step to figure out what's best for you.
Step 0: Figure out your skin type
To help you choose the right match for you, the first step is to find out your skin type. The four skin types are: normal, dry, oily and combination.

Step 1: Do you really need a double cleanse?
The first step of a night-time routine is oil cleansing. This step is essential if you wear makeup and/or waterproof sunscreen, or sunscreen with physical filters. If this sounds like you, try our double cleansing duos for oily/combo skin and for normal/dry skin!
If you don’t wear makeup nor waterproof sunscreen, you don’t need to oil cleanse and can get away with only using a water-based cleanser (see step 2 below).
Which Smuuti Skin cleansing balm is right for me?
For simple, effective makeup removal, choose Watermelon Sorbet Balm. For a more moisturizing makeup removal and gentle exfoliation, choose Pear Cleansing Balm – it's especially great for dryness and texture.
Step 2: Which cleanser should you choose?
Regardless of whether you wear makeup or not, everyone needs a good water-based cleanser in their routine. This will help get all that gunk off and leave your face clear, fresh and ready to absorb any skincare products.
- If your skin type is dry or sensitive, go for the Peach Cleansing Cream. Also, if you're a teen just starting out with skincare, this one's your go-to.
- If your skin is oily or blemish-prone, go for the Pear Cleansing Gel.
- If your skin is normal or combination, you can choose the cleanser according to the most prominent trait on your skin. Determine if your skin is more dry/sensitive or more oily/textured, and choose accordingly.
You can also use a separate cleanser in the morning and evening, and a separate cleanser in the summer and winter.
Step 3: Which toner should I use?
Smuuti Skin toners are suitable for all skin types. This means that you can choose the one that you prefer – or even layer all of them!
Watermelon Dew Toner Mist is packed with soothing Watermelon and plumping Hyaluronic Acid. It’s the perfect option for anyone who doesn’t want a heavy toner. Plus, the mist allows this to be used to prime or set makeup, leaving a beautiful glow on the skin.
Peach Barrier Toner has a milky texture that is quite unique – and very trendy! It doesn’t become greasy, even if layered. So, you can generously nourish your skin for optimal hydrating and barrier health. Peach Extract and Peach-derived Ceramides help repair the skin while Niacinamide brings glow. Perfect for dry or dehydrated skin types.
Pear Balance Toner is the only exfoliating toner of the three. However, it can still be used daily to achieve that glass skin effect! The texture is gel-like and leaves a beautiful glow, whereas Pear Extract, Prickly Pear and PHA help smooth and renew the skin with daily use.
Step 4: Which serum is best for me?
Serums give your skin a concentrated boost of active ingredients. You should choose a serum based on your skin's needs:
Watermelon Dew Serum focuses on dewy hydration and brightening, whereas Pear Balance Serum targets redness and sensitivity, giving a soothing effect to the skin. Peach Barrier Serum targets dryness and barrier repair and is the most nourishing out of all three.
Step 5: Which moisturizer should I choose?
Smuuti’s moisturizers are, in many ways, the opposites of each other, so finding the right one for you is easy.
Watermelon Jelly Cream is a gel cream that leaves the skin plump and glowy. It works best for oily skin or the day/summer-time.
Peach Barrier Cream is your classic, fluffy cream that leaves the skin soft and silky. Is best for dry skin or night/winter-time.
