Learn about the ingredients
Main ingredients in the Strawberry Boost line include Vitamin-C-rich Strawberry Extract, a mild Vitamin C derivative and the trending ingredient Glutathione.
Vitamin C (3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid)
Pure Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) is a gold-star active ingredient for skin brightening, antioxidant protection and collagen boosting effects. However, pure Ascorbic Acid is also notorious for causing skin irritation, being unstable and hard to formulate with. Instability means that pure Vitamin C loses its effectiveness quickly after being opened.
That’s why we've opted to use a gentle and stable, but still effective Vitamin C derivative, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid. It has almost all of the same effects, while being effective and stable at low concentrations. 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is also soluble in both water and oil, allowing for better absorption.
Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Glucoside)
Ascorbyl Glucoside is another popular Vitamin C derivative. It's not as brightening and collagen-boosting as 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, but it does give great antioxidant protection, while boosting the effect of other Vitamin C derivatives.
That’s why it's encapsulated together with 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid in the Strawberry Boost Serum. It's also water-soluble, so doesn't make the formulas greasy.
Strawberry Extract
Strawberries are super high in natural Vitamin C, even higher than oranges! Pairing Vitamin C derivatives with natural Vitamin C helps give more glow-boosting benefits – without excess irritation.
Strawberries also have polyphenols to provide antioxidant protection and natural fruit acids to support skin radiance.
Glutathione
Glutathione is all the rage in Korea's skincare scene. Glutathione is best known for its superior antioxidant effect, which helps protect the skin from environmental aggressors, like pollution and UV radiation. It also supports an even and glowing skin tone and boosts skin elasticity.
Caffeine
Many go for caffeine in coffee and energy drinks to give them a boost of energy. Skincare-wise, it's pretty much the same deal.
Caffeine helps de-puff and calm the skin, and is great for refreshing the eye area in the morning. You can usually see the effects quickly with consistent use, which makes caffeine a popular ingredient in eye creams.
Polyglutamic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid is often named the best hydrating ingredient, because it can hold 100 times its weight in water. However, Polyglutamic Acid is actually even more hydrating! Polyglutamic Acid also provides superior plumping and glow-boosting effects, which is why it is used in Strawberry Boost Wrapping Mask.
